Absence and Leave

  1. A minimum attendance of 75% of the working days is required for promotion even if they pass in all subjects.
  2. No leave of absence is granted except on previous written application from the parent or guardian and in the space provided in the dairy and that too only for serious reasons.
  3. No child will be allowed to leave the school during the school hours except for serious reason and that too with a written request from the parent or guardian of the candidate.
  4. Absence without leave is liable to punishment either with fine or any other form at the Principal’s discretion. Repeated absence renders the student liable to dismissal. Frequent late coming, failure to bring books etc. will render the child liable to be denied to sit in the class or to be sent home.
  5. All pupils are expected to be present in the school on the reopening day after each vacation and on the last working day before the commencement of each vacation. Absence without previous permission renders the child liable to have his/her name struck off the school rolls.
  6. Except for duly approved reasons, extension of vacation is not permitted. students who extend their holidays for more than 3 days after vacation, without sanction will have their names struck off the rolls.
  7. Application for medical leave for more than 2 days should be accompanied by a medical certificate by a doctor who is a qualified registered practitioner.
  8. A student who is absent from the class continuously for 15 days or more without the leave sanctioned by the Principal may have his/her name struck off the rolls without any notice. If readmitted he/she will have to pay a re-admission fee. Readmission shall be subject to the Principal’s discretion.
  9. All leave application should be signed by one of the parents or guardian.
